Some portraits don’t need much. Just a subject, a quiet space, and light that knows where to fall.
For this series, I wanted to try something more experimental—but still very personal. I used a projector to cast my own painterly flower photographs onto the model, letting the image wrap around her instead of sitting behind her. The results surprised me. The light moved differently. The skin and fabric caught small details in ways I didn’t plan—but loved.
There’s a softness and stillness in these images that feels cinematic, even though nothing dramatic is happening. That’s what I like about this type of work. It’s not about perfect styling or big production. It’s about creating something with just enough intention and letting the rest happen naturally.
These portraits are from two different sets, but they belong to the same mood. Both are quiet, slightly introspective, and layered with subtle texture. The projection adds a painterly feel, but the emotion still comes through clearly.
